When you are arriving by plane, before the landing your flight attendant will give you two copies of the form called “Immigration card”, these forms also might be located in the arrival hall before the passport control.
It’s necessary to fill these forms and submit to the passport control offices. Always keep the Immigration card with your passport, do not throw it away, because you will need to show it leaving the country.
After going out of the plane you will need to get in the bus which will bring you to the airport building (maybe you will not experience that, in some international airports the plane delivers you right to the building). Then you will follow the way to the passport control. The passport control has three or more tracks for Russians, diplomats and foreigners; you have to be in the track for the foreigners. After about ten minutes of waiting the passport control officers are starting to attend people. They will ask you for the documents: passport, visa and immigration card and check your face. It takes a few minutes, if everything is fine they put a stamp in the immigration card. Passport control might take about 30 minutes because the lines are quite long, sometimes when there are many people the diplomatic track is also available, keep an eye on it.
After the passport control you go to the place where you pick up the luggage. Then you move to the customs control. If you have a lot of money or plan to take more than $3000 out of the country you need to declare it. The customs will stamp the declaration form, you should have it with when you leave the country. If you do not have anything to declare go to the green corridor following the signs: exit to the city.
